Purchased this in mid June for a friend, he loves everything about it. The only slight complaint is the speakers but he uses the computer for internet stuff and not too much movie watching and no gaming. Not an exciing review but a truthful one.

I got this laptop around a week ago and I’ve been using it everyday. When I first started using it, it already started heating up within 45 min. of use. I thought this laptop was not suppose to heat up so quickly, especially when I just got it.
This is also my first time using anything above Windows XP, and it’s not bad. However, it sometimes lag for a few seconds whenever I try to go to another window or program in the quickslot/pin on the bottom left of the screen. It gets really annoying when someone messages me from MSN and all of a sudden the entire computer lags for a few seconds when I try to get to that message.
Also, it takes some time for my laptop to load up when I turn it on. At first, it wasn’t like that, but now it seems to be slowing down(?)- it could also be from keeping the laptop on and let it go on hibernate for 3 days, but I don’t think that should affect anything.
I’ve read a lot of reviews before I got this laptop and a majority states this laptop runs smoothly without a problem. Well, I’ve had some problems and it seems like I got a ‘bad sheep’ that has also been stated in some of the reviews here… am I wrong?

Speaker volume is entirely too low. Can’t hear if there are any noises in room. Must turn off tv and air to hear, then you can barely hear the extremely low volume.
Computer works well, but extremely disappointed with the weak speakers. Volume is fine when exterior speakers, headphones or earbuds are used.
Would be a great computer if it had decent speakers…
